Note for Kirrawee Gang Show Adult Helpers

Did you volunteer with Kirrawee Gang Show for the 2024 season, and received a notice to renew your membership? You only need to renew your membership if you have an ongoing connection to Scouting. If you do have an ongoing connection, you should renew with the formation you are most closely connected to. Otherwise, you don't have to renew until the next KGS season starts (February 2026).

New youth members

New means someone who has never been a member of Scouts NSW, as an adult or as a youth. If you would like to join our group and you have been in Scouting before, you can join as a Returning Member.

NB. Trials are for a maximum of six weeks from the time you register - please don't sign up until you have contacted us and you are ready to start your trial.

Contact us if you would like to start a trial in Scouts (11-13 years)

Contact us if you would like to transfer to or trial in Venturers (14-17y)

Completed a Trial?

If you have tried out scouting in our Cub, Scout or Venturer units in a three-four visit trial at our group, and are ready to become a full member, please speak to your Section Leader about upgrading to full membership.

New adult members

This procedure applies to those who have never been members of Scouting. If you have been a member of any branch of the Scouts Association of Australia, NSW in the past, you may have to join via an alternative process. Contact our Group Leader Sarah H. for more information.

How to apply

To apply as an adult member (Adult Helper, or Leader) at 2nd Sutherland (ARMCO), you will need:

• A current Working WIth Children Check (WWCC) clearance number.

• Contact details of two referees.

Your application can't go ahead without this information. If you don't have a WWCC, apply for one before proceeding with your Scouts application.

No membership fees are due for Adult Helpers or Leaders (Leaders' costs are paid by 2nd Sutherland (ARMCO)).

Fees and payment plans

Membership fees have two parts:

• An association registration fee payable to Scouts NSW

• A group membership fee payable to 2nd Sutherland (ARMCO)

Membership fees are due in full, in advance, for the entire Trek (membership period) at the time of registration. 

Payment Plans

You can now pay your Scouts NSW and/or group fees via a payment plan. Payment plans are available for both new and returning members. Read more: download the Scouts NSW Payment Plan Fact Sheet.

NB. If you request a payment plan for fees, you should include in your request all relevant discounts or vouchers (including Active and Creative Kids Rebate vouchers) at the beginning of your request. Discounts and vouchers cannot be applied after the payment plan begins.

Discount codes and vouchers

If you are enrolled in the Family Support Fund, have opted to pay registration fees via a payment plan, or have any other discount codes, ensure you have your discount code(s) ready before starting the registration process.

If you think you are entitled to a discount code but have not received one, contact the relevant people as below.

Third child discount and other group-level discounts, contact 2nd Sutherland (ARMCO) Group Treasurer Jane.

Active and Creative Kids Rebate

Scouts NSW is now able to accept Active and Creative Kids Rebate vouchers directly during the registration process. 

If you are paying fees up front, you can enter an Active and Creative Kids Voucher number during checkout, and prior to entering credit card details. NB. Please ensure you click apply and see the amount owing decrease before proceeding to payment.
